The Aguilera Law Group's Insurance Litigation group has been litigating major coverage disputes for years.
The Aguilera Law Group has played a central role in crafting the coverage landscape that exists today. From issues of conflicts of appointed counsel to the rights of carriers to control the defense to the reimbursement of monies that never should have been paid, The Aguilera Law Group has been on the forefront of litigating these issues to success.
Although historically we have concentrated on insurers, our attorneys also represent insured clients in selected cases where no conflict exists.
We represent insurance companies in complex cases arising out of insurance coverage and bad faith/extra contractual disputes. Our cases have involved asbestos, professional liability, environmental, toxic tort, construction, products, advertising injury, personal injury and workers compensation claims.
We aggressively represent our clients in their pursuit of court rulings that accurately reflect the intended meaning and application of the insurance policies at issue. Some lawsuits involve many other insurance carriers and in many of those cases, our attorneys have acted as members of the Steering Committee or Liaison Committee, taking an active role in the management and resolution of the lawsuit.
Our lawyers have extensive experience litigating cases in both Federal and State courts in the Western United States. Besides our trial court experience, we maintain an active appellate practice. Our lawyers have represented parties and amici curiae in many cases that have resulted in the leading published opinions in California, as well as decisions in other state and Federal courts that have influenced insurance law.
